Frequently asked questions

How much should I tip?

Customs vary a lot. In the US, 15–20% is common in restaurants, while in many countries service is included and a small round-up is enough.

How do I calculate 30% off?

Multiply the price by 0.70. For 80, that gives 56, so you save 24.

Do two discounts add up?

Not exactly. 20% off then 10% off is 28% in total, not 30%, because the second discount applies to the reduced price.
