How to use it

  1. Enter the resolution in pixels (width × height), or use this screen's resolution.
  2. Enter the diagonal in inches as advertised.
  3. Read PPI, dot pitch, aspect ratio and the physical size. Use the second card for a TV size from its diagonal.

Frequently asked questions

What is PPI?

Pixels per inch: the number of pixels along one inch of the screen. It equals the diagonal in pixels divided by the diagonal in inches.

Is higher PPI always better?

Up to a point. Beyond what your eye can resolve at your viewing distance, extra density only costs battery and performance.

Why does “use this screen” not fill the diagonal?

Browsers report the resolution but never the physical size. Measure the diagonal or check the specifications.
